Yamaha have futher improved the 2021 WR450F’s frame, motor, suspenders and brakes the aim being making a lighter, more powerful and sweeter handling bike. The bike comes in all blue plastics with the nice “blinged up”anodised blue rims.
The 2021 version of the Yamaha receives a new cylinder head with a reshaped combustion chamber and steeper valve angles. The compression ratio was increased to 13.0:1 from 12.8:1, and a new crankcase breather system was added to improve engine efficiency. The five-speed box has been tweeked and improved to enable smoother gear changes. Rumour has the engine is lighter, and has Increased power across the rev range.
The solid aluminium frame has different thicknesses and flex characteristics to improve cornering, traction and stability over jumps. The 2021 WR450F has all new engine mounts, top triple clamp and front axle to further reduce weight. The suspension has also received upgrades to compression and rebound. Yamaha have also added a newly designed front caliper.
Other updates include a more concise electric start system and an improved LCD screen that now includes a low petrol warning and a petrol consumption meter. We have listed the dimensions that Yamaha have publicised below.
